Blog Content Request
Looking for things to post on our blog. In January I posted about cutting with a die cutter. Is there something you’d like reviewed? Is there something you’d like to review? Please feel free to send me anything you’d like posted on the blog – reviews (books, notions, patterns), tutorials – either ones you’ve written or ones you’ve found online, etc. Remember this is our guild – you can contribute to the blog as well!
Quilts of Valor
Happy to report that I have boxed up five quilts and will ship them as soon as a address is sent to me. Thank you everyone who has helped in making quilts for QUILTS OF VALOR. I’ve had several offers to help bind quilts as I get them quilted….I’ll be I contact shortly! Thank you!
Also I had asked at the July meeting where the 6 quilt tops went that we pieced at the workshop with Joann Hubbard? They seem to have vanished into thin air….if you know where they are please let me know. (Others are asking me about them as well) I’d like to get fabric together for the backs of them and get them quilted in time to ship out for the WOMENS PTSD Quilts of Valor at the VA in Cincinnati in September. Thank you!
Barb King donated one quilt. Thank you so very much!
Last week my friend, Barb Leoni, came over and we went thru all the fabric donations that have been collected and made up baby quilt kits. I will be bringing a few each month and hopefully some of you will take them home to complete and return. These will be distributed to Blessing House and Genesis House.
Pat Predmore and I met to discuss having a guild quilter’s garage sale at the Oct. 8th meeting. There will be a sign up sheet at the Aug. 13th meeting. If you are interested in participating in this event, please see us. More details to follow.
