Please watch for more details about our Quilt Show. Remember the dates, Friday, October 4th 10 am to 8 pm, Saturday, October 5th 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, October 6th 11 am to 3 pm. The location is The New Russia Township Hall, 46268 Butternut Ridge Road, Oberlin, OH.

  2. I want to thank the quilters of the Lorain County Piecemakers for the fantastic efforts that made our Quilt Show so successful. Thanks so much to our community supporters, vendors, committees, Mike and the ‘quilt husbands’ who helped and the wonderful leadership and coordination of Julie and Karen N.

Because of my past diagnosis and treatment at OSU in Columbus both my son and daughter are riding 100 and 50 miles respectively to raise funds for cancer research on August 8. Please consider a donation. Any amount will be helpful. Last year my son rode 50 miles and raised $2400. He would love to meet or exceed that figure. You can donate online at the website at the end of this message. Thank you for any help you can give.
    Dear Friend,

I am excited to be doing my part to end cancer by riding in Pelotonia this summer. Pelotonia is a grassroots bike tour with one goal end cancer. Started in 2008, Pelotonia has become one of the top athletic fundraisers in the country. In 2014, 7,270 Riders from 41 states and 10 countries participated along with 3,700 Virtual Riders and 2,617 Volunteers. Together, they raised over $21 million, bringing Pelotonia’s grand fundraising total to $82.3 million in 6 years.

While Pelotonia weekend is an extraordinary experience for everyone who participates, it’s so much more than a weekend event. Because Pelotonia’s year-round operational expenses are covered by extremely generous funding partners, Pelotonia directs 100% of the donations made on behalf of its Riders, Virtual Riders and Volunteers directly to life-saving cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. For more information about the groundbreaking advances already funded by Pelotonia, check out http://pelotonia.org/about/impact/.

I am grateful to raise funds for Pelotonia and I hope you will support me in reaching my commitment this year. With 100% of your donation to my ride going directly toward improving lives through innovative research, you can rest assured that every single dime will make a difference. Together we are unstoppable. Please join me in making the end of cancer a reality.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support!

    Sincerely,

    Steve Palun

Good Morning Ladies! My wife is a quilter and I am a turner on a lathe of some of the most beautiful Items in the United State. I would like to participate as a vendor for your September Lorain County Piecemakers quilt show. I create some of the most beautiful seam rippers by the use of beautiful acrylic blanks, exotic woods, and hybrid blanks. I also make crochet hooks and afford various hook sizes for all types of crochet venues. If you would like to view my products, I would be glad to send, through email, some photographs of my work. All of my products are reasonably priced and loved by many quilters, sewers, and people who crochet. Thank you for your time and hoping to hear from you!

I just moved back to this area, have been a quilter for about 25 years, and am looking to have two quits from the 1940’s appraised. Can you tell me where I can find someone will do that?
